The Apsley Veterinary Services is reminding you to be on the lookout for mushroom growth in your yard.
This comes after the services says a local dog went into liver failure after eating toxic mushrooms, which have had the perfect conditions to grow with all the rain this year.
Because it can be hard to tell which types of mushrooms can be harmful to your pooch, you are being advised to clear all mushrooms in your yard.
