Barry’s Bay Railway Tourist Centre Not Closing Anytime Soon

Madawaska Valley Council has no plans to close the Railway Station Tourism Centre in Barry’s Bay.

That’s according to Mayor Kim Love, who says any talk about closing the station are just rumors.

The rumors began after Recreation and Community Development Coordinator Paul Nopper was let go by council on July 28th.

The reason for Nopper’s dismissal is confidential, according to Mayor Love.

Acting Clerk Gwen Dombroski will be the temporary contact for anyone reaching out about recreation and community development.
