More Madawaska Valley Census Results Released

More results from the 2016 Canadian Census have come in.

The most recent census results show that 535 people in Barry’s Bay are married or living with a common law partner. This comes out to about 47-percent of people over the age of 15. In Barry’s Bay.

However, this is 10-percent lower than the Madawaska Valley as a whole, which has 2090 married or common law residents.

Meanwhile, the census also shows that 94-percent of Madawaska Valley residents only speak English, while just 210 speak English and French.

While the population of the Madawaska Valley went down almost four-percent, the population in Barry’s Bay went up nearly one point five percent.
