Some North Hastings residents think electricity is still unaffordable

Following the introduction of the “Fair Hydro Plan”  a month ago, some North Hastings residents don’t think electricity has become more affordable.

The plan has been in effect for a month now, with the province saying the average residential customer’s electricity bill will drop 25 per cent.

The province has said that the average electricity bill for residents will drop 25 percent.

Moose FM took to the streets to find out if North Hastings residents think their bills have become more affordable.

The province also says that for customers in rural and remote communities, and low income residents, that the races could drop up to 50 percent.
