The St. Francis Memorial Hospital in Barry’s Bay will be getting two new stretchers thanks to the annual KAPOA Poker Run.

The event was put together by the Kamaniskeg Area Property Owners Association and raised over $13,000 for the St. Francis Valley Healthcare Foundation.

All of the proceeds this year will go towards new stretchers for the hospital in Barry’s Bay. St. Francis Valley Healthcare Foundation Executive Director Toni Lavigne-Conway says these are vital to the hospital’s operations.

Chair of the Poker Run Lynne MacLean says the event continues to grow.

Since 2012, the Poker Run has raised nearly $50,000 for the St. Francis Valley Healthcare Foundation.
