The province wants you reconnect with nature, while improving your mental and physical health.

Ontario Parks is encouraging you to take part in the 30×30 Challenge, by spending a half hour outside every day in August.

You can do that in your own backyard, in a local park, or by heading out to Silent Lake or Algonquin Provincial Parks. Ontario Parks also says day-use will be free in all provincial parks on August 16th to help you meet your nature commitment.

The province says spending time outside can help boost your immune system, decrease stress, and help alleviate symptoms of some mental health issues.
