OPP asking for public’s help in identifying remains found in 1980

The OPP is hoping a facial reconstruction will help identify remains found in Algonquin Park in 1980.

Police have released a new 3-dimensional model of a man’s face, hoping that it will lead to new information.

His remains were found by a hiker using Hardwood Lookout Trail near Whitney. A size 11 boot, a wallet without any ID, clothes, a sleeping bag, a camp stove, and a cooking pot were all found nearby.
