The average sale price of a home in the Bancroft area has dropped about five per cent year-over-year in June. The Bancroft and Area Association of Realtors reports the average sale price of a home was just over $240,000 last month.
There were 40 homes sold in June, which represents a five per cent year-over-year increase. Association President Marilyn Dillon says that amount of sales has only happened a handful of times, so it was an above average result.
The association also reports the average home was on the market for four months, down from six months at this time last year.
