The Killaloe and Whitney OPP are reminding you to lock it or lose it, even while in Algonquin Park.
Police are investigating a theft from a parked car along Highway 60 in the provincial park where electronics and a wallet were stolen.
The OPP says many crimes like this one are ones of opportunity, if valuables are left in the open or a door is unlocked a thief may be more likely to break into your vehicle.
If you are headed into the park for a long period of time make sure to pack your valuables in the trunk or under the seats, don’t leave any sensitive documentation in your vehicle and make sure to lock and arm your alarm.
