The Bancroft area saw a near-record amount of property sales in the month of May.
The Bancroft and Area Association of Realtors reports 81 properties were sold in May 2017, just missing a record set in July 2003 by one sale.
Association President Marilyn Dillon says supply is tight, and prices are way up over last year. The average sale price of a home in the Bancroft area was just over $270,000 this May, marking an almost 23 per cent year-over-year increase.
