The Killaloe OPP says it’s seen a spike in collisions with moose in Algonquin Park.

Police say 11 collisions with wildlife were reported along the stretch of Highway 60, with seven involving moose in the span of one week.

Constable Catharine Yarmel says as always, checking your speed and scanning shoulders are the best ways to avoid animal collisions.

The OPP says animals on our roads account for more than half of reported collisions in the area since January.
