If you are tired of spotty mobile service, help may be on the way. The Eastern Ontario Regional Network has asked both the provincial and federal governments for just under $300 million dollars to improve mobile data service in Renfrew County. E-O-R-N Co-Lead Jim Pine says public safety is the primary focus of this public-private sector project.
Pine also says the proposal will only help develop the economy of Eastern Ontario.
Pine says the E-O-R-N hopes to get approval from both levels of government by the end of the year. But it will take another four-to-five years to build the network.
