The Highland Shores Children’s Aid board has laid out its plans for the society’s five year budget.

The society says by 2019 some of its services will be transferred to First Nations with a funding transfer to accompany it.

Highland Shores says it’s heading into 2017-2018 with balanced budget, with future years working with a deficit.

The society says the budget has been crafted around continued quality assurance and the continuing of its Sign of Safety family meetings and practices.

Highland Shores Children’s Aid serves communities throughout Hastings, Northumberland and Prince Edward counties.
