Hastings and Prince Edward Public Health will be making a stop in Bancroft next week to talk opioids, addiction and treatment.
It’s part of local health units running campaigns to tackle a growing problem for some communities.
The local health unit is teaming up with community partners to help raise awareness on the dangers of drug use.

The health unit’s panel will be talking fentanyl, an opioid deadly even in small amounts.
Its use is becoming a growing concern among local police forces in rural eastern Ontario.
The talks are being hosted on Tuesday, May 30th at 5:30pm at Club 580 on Hastings Street, all are welcome to attend.
