A Bancroft OPP officer will be returning to work after a Police Tribunal found him not guilty of discreditable conduct.
Details about the case against Constable Chris Sheppard have been released by the OPP’s Professional Standards Bureau.
It’s in relation to a sexual assault dating back to 2014, which was replaced with an assault, before eventually being withdrawn once the officer signed a peace bond.

In March, Sheppard had been involved in a three-day Police Services Act hearing, in which the adjudicator says he didn’t find the evidence in the hearing clear and convincing.
The 52-year-old was found not guilty.
Bancroft OPP has confirmed he will return to work after being suspended with pay.
