Community garden beds will start popping up at Maynooth Public School.
Principal Lisa Resmer says the beds will be going up this spring, in collaboration with the Algonquin Nations and North Hastings Community Trust.
The Maynooth & Hastings Highlands Business Association reports the Hastings & Prince Edward District School Board has donated $5,000 to the project, while Community Trust has donated $1,000.
A community meeting and potluck will be held today at 5:30pm at the school for those looking to find out more.
