Township Looking to Introduce PTSD and Crisis Relief Policies

The Township of Madawaska Valley is looking to introduce new policy to address mental health and other issues for its staff.

Fire Chief Corwin Quade says an anti-stigma and PTSD policy also stands to benefit firefighters.

Acting Clerk Gwen Dombroski says having policy in place to address issues of stress, fatigue or mental health is important to the township.

The policy would also cover education for municipal employees and crisis debriefing.
