The MNRF says water levels across the region have decreased considerably, alleviating fears of further flooding.

Round, Golden and Kamaniskeg Lakes along with Lake Clear have all begun decreasing in water levels as of Monday morning.

A Flood Warning will remain in effect until at least Friday as a precaution according to the ministry.

Widespread water damage has closed roads in the Madawaska Valley, Brudenell, Lyndoch and Raglan; Killaloe, Hagarty and Richards and North Algona Wilberforce.

Madawaska Valley Fire Chief Corwin Quade says thanks to the capacity of Bark Lake, its flow will be tightened up as there’s no longer a fear of it breaking capacity.
