Health Units Highlighting Importance of Vaccinations if You’re Travelling

If you plan on travelling, you are being reminded to make sure your vaccinations are up-to-date.

That’s the message from local health units which say vaccinations will help protect you against illnesses.

This is especially important when travelling out-of-country, because there could be health-risks you wouldn’t normally be exposed to.

The health unit says you should plan to get vaccines well-ahead of your trip in case you need multiple doses.

This comes as the health unit is recognizing Immunization Awareness Week.
