Hastings Highlands Council has approved a five year plan to repair roads in the municipality.

Operation Manager Adrian Tomasini put the report forward to council, outlining a timeline for when a number of roads would be repaired. Tomasini explains repairs to Highway 62 from Muclow Greenview to ANAF roads will start in 2019.

The municipality will also spend over $700,000 in 2021 for repairs to Highway 62 from Highway 127 to ANAF road.

Tomasini says council has approved spending up to almost $200,000 in 2017 for repairs to South Baptiste Lake Road.

Another $366,000 has been set aside for repairs to Siberia Road in 2017, along with $71,000 for repairs to Musclow Greenview Road. Tomasini says all the repairs stem from a need in the municipality based on a study from 2016.

Tomasini says he hopes the municipality will put about $900,000 aside each year for road repairs
