Madawaska Valley’s Recreation and Community Development Coordinator Paul Nopper says the timing of the recent Ontario Parks and Rec conference couldn’t be better.

Nopper along with Councillor Carl Bromwich recently returned from the event.

He says interacting and networking with delegates from across the province was a great opportunity.

Nopper says having along at a policy level for the information sessions and meetings with delegates from across the province was important.

It’s part of a recent shift for the municipality towards tourism, as the township is on the cusp of its new Come Wander campaign.

The conference ran from Tuesday to Friday last week in Huntsville.
