Hastings County Passes Budget with 2.5 per cent Increase to Taxes

Residents across Hastings County will be seeing a 2.5 per cent tax increase this year.

The Belleville Intelligencer reports the increase equals out to just over $10 a year for a property valued at around $173,000.

This comes after County Council approved its $135.2-million operating budget.

The budget has money carved out for upgrades at Bancroft’s Hastings Centennial Manor and North Hastings Hospital.
