The most recent blood donation clinic in Bancroft came short of its goal to collect 72 units of blood.

That’s according to Canadian Blood Services Territory Manager Andra Stancu, who says last Mondays clinic in Bancroft collected 61 units.

He says the extra 11 units the service did not collect could help treat a leukemia patient for about a week.

There are upcoming clinics in Bancroft, Barry’s Bay and Eganville in April and May.
