Final Draft of Age Friendly Community Plan Presented

The Madawaska Valley may be adopting a new plan which aims to make quality of life improvements not just for seniors, but for those of all ages.

The Age Friendly Community Planning Strategy was presented yesterday by Recreation and Community Development Coordinator Paul Nopper.

The strategy looks at ways to improve transportation for seniors, housing, outdoor spaces, social and recreational needs along with healthcare.

The plan will do so through services, facilities and infrastructure along with lifestyle and active engagement.

It was presented in yesterday’s Development and Property Committee meeting.
