Fire and Protection, Emergency Preparedness committees and a special council meeting are all slated for today for the Township of Madawaska Valley.
Today’s council meeting will be held in-camera and could pertain to the township’s search for a new CAO as Craig Kelley will be assuming his new position with the county this month.
Emergency preparedness will be seeing a presentation from the Canadian Red Cross to begin today’s meeting.
Business plan and training requirements are coming down from the office of the fire marshal for review by committee today as well.
The committee will also be reviewing the draft of a new agreement between the township and the St. Francis Memorial Hospital in dealing with possible outbreak or pandemic scenarios.
