Municipal leaders and other delegates are attending day three of the Rural Ontario Municipal Association’s annual conference.

Yesterday County Councillor Ric Bresee was voted in as chair of ROMA’s Zone 6, representing Lennox and Addington, Renfrew, Hastings, Prince Edward and Frontenac Counties.

Physician recruitment and sustainable healthcare, agricultural investments, natural resource development and new municipal legislation coming into effect were all talking points presented yesterday.

Election modernization and other changes will also be brought back to local councils to consider moving forward as well.

Premier Kathleen Wynne also spoke at the conference.
