Local Police and OFSC Kick Off Snowmobile Safety Week

The OFSC and local police are teaming up to tackle Snowmobile Safety Week.

Many riders reported slippery corners and the Killaloe OPP recently responded to a wildlife collision in the area – signs sledders need to keep safety in mind.

OPP Constable Phillippe Regamey says it’s easy to stay safe on the trails.

From testing out safety equipment to doing a quick pre-ride check are good ideas.

The OPP says always check trail conditions before heading out and leave your trail-plan with someone you know.

Many local clubs in Snow Country 6 post constant updates to social media and members are on-hand to answer questions on the trails.
