Police say a lot of kids will be travelling, so safety should be top of mind.
Parents should stay off their phones while driving and always check road conditions before heading out, especially after the recent string of winter storms.
The OPP is also encouraging kids to always have an adult check ice conditions before heading out onto local waterways.
Children are asked to wear helmets and safety gear while sledding, skating, skiing, or snowmobiling.
