The St. Francis Memorial Hospital is still accepting donations as part of its Tree of Lights event, all December long here in the Madawaska Valley.
Executive Director of the St. Francis Valley Healthcare Foundation Toni Lavigne-Conway says the community’s support of the Tree of Lights has been relentless.
She says many who donate dedicate one of the bulbs to a friend or family member who has been treated at the hospital.
Entering its 16th year, the event is a critical component of the hospital’s fundraising.
This year’s proceeds will be going towards renovations for the hospital’s tub-room.
Hospital COO Greg McLeod says it’s a major component in patient care, especially those with serious injuries, disabilities or in a fragile state from treatment.
You can donate to the Tree of Lights directly through the hospital or online.
