Canadian Blood Services and the Madawaska Valley Lions Club are preparing for this month’s blood donor clinic in Barry’s Bay.
Canadian Blood Services says winter targets have been difficult to meet in the area.
Blood donations go into treating auto-immune diseases, emergency transfusions in E-Rs and is a critical component in some cancer treatments.

You can donate once every two-months, with all blood types in demand for hospital emergency rooms.
Canadian Blood Services will be at the Paul J Yakabuski Community Centre on December 27th from 3:00pm to 7:00pm, you can schedule your appointment here.
