Winter has officially kicked-off, and Environment Canada is predicting that the weather will be getting a little warmer.
Meteorologist Geoff Coulson says, heading into the holidays, the temperature might rise a little bit.
Coulson says the rest of December and January could be a little warmer-than-usual, although that does not mean temperatures will always be above the freezing mark.

Coulson says despite the warmer forecasted temperatures, it’s shaping up to be a White Christmas in eastern Ontario.
