Recreation and Tourism Economic Report on 2017 Budget Presented to Development Committee

A report for next year in terms of the budget for economic development projects in the Madawaska Valley has been presented to its development committee.

Everything from bistros and seminars, to digital marketing for the Railway Station and the Lipusz Twinning Committee has been accounted for in 2017.

The report comes from the township’s Recreation, Community and Development Coordinator Paul Nopper.

The plan for a large digital sign at the Railway Station and stepping up the cultural partnership through the twinning committee were highlighted in the report.

The total costs outlined in the upcoming budget land around $31,500.

Budget time for the township as a whole is rapidly approaching and each department is working on the financial outlook for 2017.
