Hastings Highlands Council will consider supporting a provincial bill meant to make sure all stroke victims get care.
Council will be taking a look at the End Age Discrimination against Stroke Recovery Patients Act during its meeting today.
Council will also look into transferring up to $10,000 to landfill closures expenses for the Sand Bay, Hickey, and North Baptiste Landfill sites, and $20,000 to the reserve for economic development in the municipality.
The council meeting will be held at the municipal office in the Hastings Highlands Centre at 9:00am.
Later tonight, a public information session will also be held to let residents know about the cost to the municipality to reintroduce curbside waste collection in-house, and savings if it moves forward with eight yard bins at a central landfill.
The information session is being held at 6:00pm in Emond Hall.
