The Township of Madawaska Valley has been presented with a return on its investment into conserving energy.
Council was presented with a cheque for $7,271 by the Ontario Clean Water Agency.
The township was commended for its investment into Variable Flow Regulators which better monitor water flow, reduce the risk of pipe breaches and save energy.

Council agreed it should continue to not only look into ways to save energy but also for returns on investments similar to this one.
With the cheque, the townships initial investment of around $21,000 will likely be recouped within the next two years.
