Free flu-shots clinics will be in the area starting Monday and anyone can drop in.
The Renfrew County and District Health Unit says staff will be in Killaloe in Monday at the local Lions Club from 3:00pm-6:00pm.
On November 23rd residents in the Madawaska Valley and surrounding areas can receive their flu-shots from 3:00pm-6:00pm at the St. Francis Memorial Hospital.
The health unit says the flu is more easily transmitted over the winter months and is highly recommending children under the age of five, pregnant women and seniors consider getting the vaccine.
