Madawaska Valley’s Recreation, Heritage and Culture Committee is keeping up to speed on progress with the its local fitness centre and Railway Station.

Both reports on the progress of the two were promising, according to the township’s Community Development Coordinator, Paul Nopper.

There was a rise in attendance at the Railway Station and over 100 new memberships purchased this year at the fitness centre.

Nopper says the volleyball program and gym use are doing great at the fitness centre but other areas, such as the ball-hockey, badminton and the Saturday program for kids could use work.
