A number of foster and kin parents and volunteers from the North Hastings area were recognized for their commitment and dedication to youth.
Highland Shores Childrens Aid Society says an appreciation dinner was held on October 21st, which happened during National Foster Family Appreciation Week.
During the event, Colleen and Jason Gear and Janine and John Krasnowski were honoured for having been foster parents for 10 years.
Marcy and Dan Bazinet, Carolyn and Raymond McDougal, Jenny and Frank Riedl, Donna and Jim Thompson, and Angela and Clint Warren were honoured for five years of service.
Kim Grenier, Jenny and Frank Riedl, and Joan McHale were also honoured for five year contributions as volunteers to Highland Shores CAS.
