Organizers and volunteers are gearing up for tomorrow’s Remembrance Day ceremonies at the local Canadian Legion in the Madawaska Valley.
Mayor Kim Love will be laying a wreath for the county tomorrow along other government officials.
Love attended a day of military exercises at CFB Petawawa recently along with other mayors from the region.
She says she has a new found respect for the armed forces after going through some of the rigors those who serve go through every day.
Love says it’s an important day of thanks for all of Canada, not just to those who have served and are currently serving, but to their families as well.
The ceremony begins at the Legion located on John Street at 10:45am.
Local Reverend, Robert Hill and Colonel Jack Oglesby, a former RMC instructor and Vietnam veteran will be speaking at the service.
