A man-tax was well worth paying as the Girls Night Out fundraiser brought in over $1,000 for local healthcare in the Madawaska Valley.
In its third year, the Girls Night Out event proceeds are going into the St. Francis Valley Healthcare Foundation.
One of the event’s organizers, Ann Maika says the event has been a big hit and has grown fast.

Maika, along with local performer Kevin Spencer-Foley presented the cheque to the foundation’s executive director, Toni Lavigne-Conway on Thursday.
Lavigne-Conway says the foundation is lucky to have so much support from the community, as over 30 local vendors were a part of the event.
