New MNRF Funding Opportunity Could Help Waterfront Projects
The township of Madawaska Valley’s Development and Property Committee has a new funding opportunity on its radar.
The MNRF’s Land Stewardship and Restoration Program allows for funding applications to restore and improve habitats.
The committee says it could be taking a closer look at the possibilities of the grant moving forward in 2017 or 2018.
It says improvements to at-risk or sensitive lakes in the area, to Paugh Lake, or to Barry’s Bay and Combermere’s waterfronts could possibly be two-fold as it would be in the spirit of improving lake and river habitats.
