Public Works in the Madawaska Valley is both commending and asking its residents to keep environmental sustainability in mind during Waste Reduction Week.
Manager of Public Works Hilary Kutchkoskie says residents in the area have a lot to be proud of given how recycled and organic waste is managed.
The week is meant to raise awareness regarding environmentally responsible decisions, promote better waste management and the conservation of natural resources.
The province says there are some ways you can help reduce the amount of waste you create, like using products that are returnable, re-usable, or refillable.
