MV Township moves to level one fire ban

Madawaska Valley Fire Chief Corwin Quade says the township is now under a level one fire ban, which took effect at midnight Tuesday.

This means only nighttime campfires are allowed, and must be kept to two feet by two feet in size.

Quade said no brush piles will be permitted, and no fire permits will be issued during a level one ban.
