Welcome to Kindergarten events are getting underway at Renfrew County District School Board this week.
The school board is inviting families, whether they have already registered or are still looking into Kindergarten registration, to meet staff and see their schools.
The events are designed as an orientation for families, and will provide a chance to learn about the new curriculum.
The board says starting this fall, classrooms will begin following Ontario’s updated Kindergarten curriculum, which brings a more direct approach to writing, reading, math and science.
The event schedule starts tomorrow at Eganville District Public School.
Also coming up is an event at Madawaska Valley District School on May 14.
Other events at Palmer Rapids Public School and Killaloe Public School are scheduled for June.
