The stage is set and an epic battle between winter and spring is about to be the main event.
Spring officially arrived on Sunday and Environment Canada Senior Climatologist David Phillips said it’s bringing with it some warmer than normal temperatures.
“All of Southern Ontario, Eastern Ontario, and a good chunk of central Ontario is showing warmer than normal. However, that cold air is so close at hand and so again, it’s not going to be consistent,” he said.
Phillips said we are likely to see a kind of yo-yoing pattern over the coming weeks, with a few days of spring-like weather followed by a few days of winter-like weather.
The forecast for this week shows daytime highs on the plus side, reaching double digits in the Bancroft area on the weekend.
