Renfrew OPP said they recently hosted fraud prevention seminars in Renfrew and Arnprior, which were well-attended.
They said the sessions focused on current fraud trends, common scams targeting seniors and vulnerable populations and steps to take to protect yourself and your loved ones.
They said residents had the opportunity to engage with OPP, ask questions and share experiences, resulting in increased awareness.

They advise anyone who thinks they may have been the victim of a fraud to contact police and the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre.
