Friends of St. Francis Golf Tournament Raises Nearly $22,000

It’s been a big week for local healthcare in the Madawaska Valley and now the totals are in from the Friends of St. Francis annual golf tournament.

The full tally comes in at just under $22,000 for the St. Francis Valley Healthcare Foundation.

Over 150 competitors took to the course at the Homestead at Wolf Ridge Golf Club alongside local partners and over 50 businesses to beat last year’s total of around $20,000.

Executive Director of the foundation Toni Levigne-Conway says the tournament has now wrapped up its 12th year of operation.

Levigne-Conway says the community’s support of local healthcare in the Madawaska Valley has been incredible this year, from the Smile Cookie event, to last week’s EPIC Walk in Ottawa, and KAPOA’s annual poker run.
