The St. Francis Memorial Hospital in Barry’s Bay has received another big boost to its Digital Mammography Program.
A team of walkers took part in the 28 kilometre EPIC Walk in Ottawa over the weekend, raising over $14,000 in the process.
The St. Francis Valley Healthcare Foundation says the team far surpassed its fundraising goal it set for this past Saturday.

Just last week nearly $4,000 was raised by the Tim Hortons Smile Cookie event for the foundation and this summer’s KAPOA Poker Run had its most successful year ever raising over $11,000 also for the mammography program.
