A $93-million investment is being used to improve highways in Eastern Ontario.

The province says the funding will be used on 23 constructions projects, which will create almost 1,000 jobs.

This includes repaving, repairing and replacing some roads, bridges and signs.

The projects include repaving Highway 17 from Renfrew County Road 26 to Petawawa.

It comes as MPP of Renfrew-Nipissing- Pembroke John Yakabuski is meeting with Transportation Minister Steven Del Duca later this month to discuss Highway 17.
