The Township of Madawaska Valley is hosting a public meeting August 6 starting at 9:30 a.m. at the township hall.
The public meeting pertains to a zoning by-law amendment to rezone lands from rural to rural with exception, to ‘restrict the use of three severed parcels to a hunting and fishing camp’.
A township spokesperson said in a rural designation, hunting and fishing camps are permitted. What is different about this application is that the hunting and fishing camp is all that would be permitted. It can’t be used for a permanent dwelling.
The land is in the Township of Sherwood.
You can attend the public meeting in person or via Zoom, by contacting the township and get-ting a link.
Written comments can be submitted to the township’s planning services department.
