Opening the Purdy-Bangor skating rink this year could cost Hastings Highlands up to $30,000.
The information was presented at a Hastings Highlands council meeting yesterday, and stems from a motion that the municipality fund the rink this winter.
Council voted to have staff prepare a report on the exact cost of opening the rink this year.

The rink was not open this past winter due to vandalism and theft.
